KS1 Summer Production
On Friday our KS1 pupils took to the stage for their summer production of ‘You Are Special.’ Based on the book by Max Lucado, the story introduces the idea of what being special means and whether it matters. It was a great choice for our summer production, as it helped to teach the children the vital lesson that, regardless of how the world sees them, they are special, just the way they are. They should not be worried about being judged and should not judge others. The only thing that matters is what is on the inside.
Unfortunately, illness swept through the Year 2 class that morning, taking out both narrators and other members of the main cast. However, as they say in show business, ‘the show must go on’ and with the help of Max and Luka from Year 6 and a little bit of a rejig, the performance went ahead and was an absolute triumph!
Congratulations to the whole of Year 2 for their brilliant acting and singing. To the children who took on some quite daunting solos, you all did incredibly well and treated everyone to some beautiful singing.
Well done also to the Reception and Year 1 class who all sang so wonderfully!
