Year 5 Food Tech Workshop
On Thursday, Year 5 took part in a Food Tech Workshop at Leighton Park School. The focus of the session was to learn about sustainable cooking. The children used seasonal produce to bake a sustainable crumble in Leighton Park’s dedicated Food Tech room. They learned chopping and weighing skills and then followed a recipe to make a delicious pudding which they took home. They also learned more about sustainability which is a core ethos of Leighton Park School.
